As part of a special social media feature for the film, the Big B revealed why he decided to say yes to the film - with a hashtag - '34 Seconds With Amitabh Bachchan'.
The megastar promptly replied, "Ajay Devgn."
The 79-year-old informed that he has had a 'very long association' with the 'Singham' star which began with his action choreographer-father Veeru Devgan.
Talking about Devgan's contribution to Hindi Cinema, Bachchan Sr took a trip down the memory lane to recall the times they've worked together when the veteran actor started his career.
Devgan, who also was a director, is known for planning the brilliant action sequences in more than 200 Bollywood films. He has served as an Action Director for Bachchan's notable movies such as 'Dostana' (1980), 'Mr Natwarlal' (1979), 'Shahenshah' (1988), 'Pukar' (1983), 'Inquilaab' (1984), 'Aakhree Raasta' (1986), 'Khoon Pasina' (1977), among others.
In a 34-second-long video as the hashtag suggests, Devgn shared why the movie was named 'Runway 34'. He said, it is like the runway of life with "zero visibility, no vision, dangerous brace for impact."
Besides Bachchan and Devgn, the movie also features Rakul Preet Singh, Boman Irani, Aakanksha Singh, Angira Dhar and Ajey Nagar (Carry Minati).
'Runway 34' is directed and produced by Devgn. This is the actor's second directorial venture since 'Shivaay' in 2016.
