Big B fans get a birthday treat: 'Goodbye' ticket prices slashed to Rs 80

Production house Balaji Motion Pictures has found a unique way to make megastar Amitabh Bachchan's 80th birthday special.

As a treat to all Big B fans, the production banner has announced new ticket prices for the newly-released film 'Goodbye', starring Bachchan in the lead role.

To mark his 80th birthday on Tuesday (October 11), the tickets for his latest release have been fixed at just Rs 80.


The official Twitter handle of the banner said that special pricing was to honour the thespian's rich legacy.

"Big B turns 80 tomorrow and this calls for a grand celebration. Celebrate his 80th birthday, his legacy, and his fandom by watching his latest film 'Goodbye' with your family in cinemas near you at the price of only Rs 80/- on 11th October 2022. Book your tickets now," the post read.


The movie, which was released last week on Friday (October 7), has had a decent run during its opening weekend.

The family drama earned Rs 5 crore in the first opening weekend, announced by the makers on Monday.

According to a note issued by the production house earlier in the day, 'Goodbye' made Rs 1.42 crore on the release day, and earned Rs 1.78 crore and Rs 1.96 crore on Day 2 (Saturday) and Day 3 (Sunday), respectively.

'Goodbye' revolves around the dysfunctional Bhalla family. It touches tugs at your heartstrings and makes you realise the importance of your loved ones.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie has been produced by Ektaa R Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Good Co.

Besides Bachchan, it stars Neena Gupta and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles. The film marks Mandanna's Bollywood debut.

Pavail Gulati, Elli Avram, Sunil Grover, Sahil Mehta, Ashish Vidyarthi, Shivin Narang, Shayank Shukla, Arun Bali and newcomer Abhishek Khan are also part of the cast of 'Goodbye'.
