A nod to the label’s prestigious international clientele, the wall features design sketches of pop diva Beyoncé dressed in stunning Falguni Shane Peacock creations.
Couture design label Falguni Shane Peacock is known for its edgy, intricately detailed western cuts with Indian embellishments, bright pops of colour and its signature use of feathers and sequin embroidery. Their new 6,000 sq. ft. flagship store nestled in Kala Ghoda, with its bespoke marble, antique chandeliers and hues of powder pink speckled with gold, is a perfect ode to that aesthetic.

But the true highlight of the store, exclusively designed by interior designer Gauri Khan, is a subtly placed wall on the second-storey. A nod to the label’s prestigious international clientele, the wall features design sketches of pop diva Beyoncé dressed in stunning Falguni Shane Peacock creations.
"We have a wall in the store that has a couple of sketches we made for Beyoncé and sent it to her. Some of these sketches have been made into outfits that she has worn to the ‘Wearable Art Gala’, etc.,” said designer Shane Peacock.
Visitors to the flagship store can spot the dress, along with other iconic looks from the diva, on the special Beyoncé-inspired wall on the second-storey. In the past, the designer duo have created a number of stunning outfits for the pop diva like the black skirt Beyoncé sported in her ‘Formation’ video and the shimmering, jaw-dropping gold gown that was custom-designed for the WACO Theater Center’s Wearable Art Gala. Inspired by the theme (WACO to Wakanda), the designers created a statement gown inspired by the Nubian queen Amanishakheto. Metallic cutouts were used to mimic the design of armour and an 11-foot, 3-D train was designed to highlight her Nubian royalty.

“Dressing the diva has been an amazing experience for us. She is an inspiration to every woman out there and a force to be reckoned with. She even ended up inspiring us to push our boundaries while we were designing for her. We wanted to eternalize this experience, which we did through our Mumbai flagship store" said Shane Peacock.
