Oversized gems, gorgeous motifs, and metallics: A sneak-peek into Rina Dhaka's upcoming couture collection
Pearls from South China and kundan from Chandini Chowk adorn the collection.

Dripping necklaces, wondrous centrepieces, oversized gems and entangled motif stand for the unending, magnanimous and complex persona of our ideal woman. The silhouettes are graceful in their softness and sensuality and the designs feature voluminous pieces boldly parading the drama and opulence of royalty. Hues of Golden and Silver blended into the theme bring out the elegance of a regal time. Our creations are a salute to the attires of the past, and we aspire to inspire the modern contemporary fashion world. The elements of royal Kundan jewellery lend a glow into the metallics.
Travelling back in time, I bring out the plush style of women through my clothes. It takes long and tenuous man-hours to aptly translate the sketches into physical output. The collection is impactful when all the materials - pearls and stones, fabrics and threads - are seamlessly put together for each outfit. It is not only important to design a beautiful outfit but also to tailor it for a perfect flow on the body. Especially in this collection where jewellery becomes a source of inspiration, we go on to getting especially created fabrics from Surat, pearls from South China and kundan created by craftsmen in Chandini Chowk. Even though it looks simple on the runway, this has been quite a journey. The concept and its execution is demanding in order to match the size of the collection.

Fabrics developed by Narayan Fabrics beautifully reflect the dazzle of jewellery. These fabrics were especially developed in Gujarat to match with the metallic colours of the collection. Especially created liquid golds, silvers, pewters give a lightness to the clothing and enhance the design. Akash Khetan fully understood the inspiration of our collection and provided us with the best quality fabrics to translate the theme into my outfits.
This show is to spead a smile.
