Bengaluru woman ditches helmet but takes a parrot for a ride on her shoulder

Bengaluru has been making headlines for reckless driving, traffic violations, and aggressive cab drivers. But in a city known for its unpredictable moments, a new viral video has captured social media’s attention—this time, for an unusual reason. The clip, which has been gaining traction on X, features a woman riding a scooter without a helmet. However, it’s not the traffic violation that’s turning heads—it’s her unexpected co-passenger. Perched calmly on her shoulder is a vibrant macaw parrot, making for an amusing yet bizarre sight on Bengaluru’s busy streets.

Shared by Rahul Jadhav, the video shows the woman, dressed in a red t-shirt and black pants, confidently riding her two-wheeler with the parrot on her shoulder. A second woman sits as a pillion rider, unfazed by their feathered companion. The video, seemingly filmed by a commuter in an auto-rickshaw, perfectly captures Bengaluru’s signature unpredictability. The video was shared with the caption, “Never a dull moment in Bangalore.”

One user remarked on the impressive balance displayed by everyone involved, wondering if it was a test of the road itself. Another found it to be a perfect example of a standout moment. Someone else questioned whether this act would contribute to women's empowerment. Meanwhile, another user urged authorities to penalize the woman rather than encourage such behavior.
