A Bengaluru based founder revealed how a techie with just two years of experience got a job that paid over a crore per year
The founder of a hiring startup headquartered in Bengaluru recently shared an eye-catching claim about a placement made through his platform. According to him, a job seeker secured a remote position that pays ₹13 lakh every month. The compensation translates to roughly ₹1.5 crore annually, making it one of the most lucrative packages facilitated by his company. The entrepreneur behind this revelation is Sumit Singh, who established the recruitment platform Rightfit.

Singh made the disclosure while engaging in an online discussion about technology salaries in India. The thread, hosted on X, quickly gained traction as professionals debated how much skilled tech workers can realistically earn. His comment immediately drew attention, prompting reactions that ranged from excitement to skepticism.

The exchange began when a user named Saurabh suggested that technology professionals with three to four years of experience can comfortably earn ₹5 lakh per month in India. The statement sparked responses from others in the industry. An employee associated with Fal AI replied, adding that even a monthly income of ₹9 lakh is achievable, although such pay often comes with intense pressure and long hours that may disrupt sleep and work-life balance.

At this point, Singh entered the conversation with an example from his own company’s records. He revealed that during the previous year, a candidate possessing only two years of professional experience had secured a ₹13 lakh per month remote role through Rightfit. The platform, he explained, matches recruiters with skilled individuals by evaluating tangible proof of work rather than relying solely on resumes.

Singh emphasized that this particular placement marked the highest salary package ever achieved via his firm. He expressed pride in the milestone and outlined ambitious goals for the future. According to him, the company intends to intensify its efforts to connect high-performing candidates with even more rewarding opportunities. By focusing on demonstrable skills and project outcomes, the Bengaluru-based founder hopes to help professionals secure roles that surpass even this remarkable benchmark in the coming year.
