Television actress Avika Gor, best known for her role as young Anandi in the popular show Balika Vadhu, has officially announced her engagement to longtime partner Milind Chandwani. The couple, who have been in a relationship for about five years, shared the news through heartfelt posts and a series of pictures from their private engagement ceremony.

In her Instagram post, Avika shared glimpses of the special day and wrote: “He asked.. I smiled, I cried (in that order)... and screamed the easiest YES of my life! I’m full filmy — background score, slow-mo dreams, mascara running and all. He’s logic, calm, and 'let’s carry a first-aid kit just in case.' I manifest drama. He manages it. And somehow, we just… Fit.”

Avika Gor's love story

Avika and Milind have been in a relationship for over five years. They first met at a party in Hyderabad, introduced through mutual friends. Though their connection was instant, Milind initially kept things platonic. Avika, however, knew early on that he was the one. She later shared on a podcast that she felt committed to him from the very beginning, even joking that she had already considered herself "married to him in [her] head."


Their relationship gradually blossomed from friendship to romance. In 2020, Avika publicly introduced Milind to her followers, and the couple has since appeared in multiple public and private celebrations together.

Who is Milind Chandwani?

As per his LinkedIn profile, Milind Chandwani is an IIM Ahmedabad alumnus with a diverse career spanning software engineering, social work, and product management. He began his professional journey at Infosys as a software engineer before switching paths to work in education and social development.

He is the founder of Camp Diaries, an NGO focused on helping underprivileged children by offering them creative and skill-based learning experiences. Milind also gained public attention in 2019 as a contestant on MTV’s Roadies Real Heroes.

Milind's Career and Qualifications

Milind holds an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College, Bangalore. His early career included nearly three years at Infosys. He later joined Teach for India as a fellow, followed by leadership roles at iTeach Schools, where he served as an acting school principal.

He has worked with several prominent organizations in the edtech and product development sectors, including BYJU’S, Ola Electric, Kuk FM, and Infinity Learn, where he held roles such as Product Manager and Associate Director. His career has been driven by a blend of corporate experience and grassroots-level educational impact.

A New Chapter Begins

The engagement ceremony was an intimate celebration. Avika wore a soft pink saree, while Milind complemented her in a matching kurta-pyjama and Nehru jacket. Their shared moments, captured in the photos, reflect a deep bond built on respect, understanding, and shared values.

While Avika has made a mark in the entertainment industry with roles in Sasural Simar Ka and regional films, Milind has pursued a more socially oriented path. Their partnership brings together two very different worlds, but their shared vision and mutual admiration clearly bind them together.

The couple is also expected to appear in a new reality show titled Pati Patni Aur Panga, which will showcase their journey and offer a candid look at their relationship.
