'Bahubali' leaves 'Doctor Strange' director Scott Derrickson spellbound

Even two years after its release, the magic of 'Bahubali' continues to leave people in awe. And it's not just fans who are star-struck by the movie, but film-makers too.

The fantasy film has found a new fan in 'Doctor Strange' director Scott Derrickson, who took to Twitter to share a video clip from 'Bahubali 2: The Conclusion'.

The action sequence in the video shows actor Prabhas use a coconut tree as a cannonball to catapult soldiers to breach the gates of Mahishmati.


"Behold, India's 'Baahubali 2'!" the wrote-director captioned the 57 second-long clip.


The second part of the SS Rajamouli-directed saga released in 2017 two years original film 'Bahubali: The Beginning'. The series also stars Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tammanaah, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishna and Nassar.

The franchise went on to become a blockbuster, with 'The Conclusion' grossing over Rs 1,800 crore worldwide.

Meanwhile, Derrickson is set to direct 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', the follow-up to the 2016 film. It is slated for a 2021 release.
