Baby on the way: Sonam Kapoor, Anand Ahuja to welcome their first child in September

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is all set to welcome her little bundle of joy with her businessman-husband Anand Ahuja in September this year.

Sonam-Anand duo took to social media to announce that they were expecting their first child during the autumn season.

Alongside three pictures of the duo caressing Kapoor's baby bump, they wrote a short poem for their little one.


The poem read:
"Four hands.
To raise you the very best we can.
Two hearts.
That will beat in unison with yours, every step of the way.
One family.
Who will shower you with love and support."

The couple said they were excited to welcome their baby in same Insta posts.

The baby news was celebrated by the Kapoors and friends from the industry. The post was liked by nearly 310K people in just one hour since the announcement.

Kapoor's best friend Kareena Kapoor Khan couldn't contain her happiness for the soon-to-be parents. She said she can’t wait for her and Kapoor's babies to play together.

Actress Malaika Arora Khan, who is also a close friend of Kapoor, dropped a heart emoji in the comments section.

"Such wonderful news!!! So happy for you," actress Dia Mirza wrote while extending her heartfelt greetings.

While Kapoor's stylist-sister Rhea introduced herself as 'Rhea Masi', her entrepreneur-cousin Anshula Kapoor took to Insta Stories to express her emotions.

Actor Sanjay Kapoor's wife Maheep also was thrilled with the new development.

Sonam and Anand tied the knot in 2018 in a traditional Sikh ceremony in Mumbai.

The two are currently staying at their residence in Delhi, and have a home in London too.

Kapoor was last seen in the 2019 comedy 'The Zoya Factor', co-starring Dulquer Salmaan. She will be next seen in filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh-backed thriller 'Blind'.
