Baby Girl OTT release date confirmed: When and where to watch Nivin Pauly starrer medical thriller drama

Nivin Pauly’s latest movie Baby Girl is finally coming to OTT. It has been just a few weeks since the movie released in theaters on January 23, and now fans don’t have to wait too long. Sony LIV announced that the film will start streaming on their platform. The thriller is about a newborn baby who goes missing in a hospital, and Nivin’s character, Sanal, gets caught up in figuring out what really happened.

Sony LIV shared the news on social media along with a teaser. They said, “A missing baby girl. An attendant on the run. A truth darker than the crime. Nivin Pauly, Lijomol, and Sangeeth Pratap headline this high-tension thriller, directed by Arun Varma and written by Bobby–Sanjay. Watch #BabyGirl, streaming from 12th February, only on Sony LIV.”

The film is also expected to be available on OTTplay Premium, though no official confirmation on other platforms has been made. There are also chances it might be dubbed in other languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The early digital release comes shortly after its theatrical run, which got mixed reviews and didn’t perform well at the box office.

What the Story Is About

Baby Girl revolves around a newborn who disappears from Good Shepherd Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Christmas Eve. Nivin Pauly plays Sanal Mathew, a hospital attendant who finds out about the missing baby when he arrives late to work. While the police start investigating, Sanal decides to look for the truth on his own. The main question of the movie is who is behind the baby’s disappearance and what secrets are hidden in the case.

Other actors in important roles include Lijomol Jose, Sangeeth Pratap, Abhimanyu Thilakan, Azees Nedumangad, Major Ravi, Nandu, Aditi Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, Jaffer Idukki, Alphy Panjikaran, Kaillash, Kichu Tellu, Nisha Sarang, Aswanth Lal, and Prem Prakash. The film is produced by Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames, directed by Arun Varma, with cinematography by Faiz Siddik, music by Sam CS, and editing by Shyjith Kumaran.

Nivin Pauly’s Recent Work

Nivin recently had a hit with Sarvam Maya, which earned about Rs. 150 crore at the box office. But Baby Girl did not do as well and got average reviews from critics. Still, the OTT release gives it a chance to reach a wider audience who like crime thrillers and suspense dramas.

Right now, Nivin is working on a rom-com directed by Girish AD called Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, starring Mamitha Baiju. He is also awaiting a political drama directed by B. Unnikrishnan and has a cameo in Dear Students alongside Nayanthara.
