Prince George

The third in line to the British throne took his first trip to Australia and New Zealand at nine months of age. Prince George accompanied his parents Prince William and Kate Middleton on their tour Down Under in 2014. The three weeks tour started in Wellington and ended in Canberra. Off the plane, the young royal had met with then Prime Minister of New Zealand, John Key. He even met and played with babies his age at a playgroup in New Zealand which was his first royal engagement. In Australia, the youngster celebrated his first Easter at Taronga Zoo where a bilby enclosure and a bilby were named after Prince George.




Princess Charlotte
The fourth in line to the British throne took her first official trip abroad when she was over a year old. Princess Charlotte accompanied her parents Prince William and Kate Middleton as well as brother Prince George to Canada in September 2016. The family was greeted as they got off the plane by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie. On the eight days trip, there was a play date for the royal children at the Government House in Victoria with children of the Canadian military personnel.

Princess Elisabeth
The heir to the Belgian throne undertook her first official international trip at 17. Princess Elisabeth, unlike her British counterparts was a teenager when she went to Kenya on a UNICEF mission in June this year. The Duchess of Brabant as she is officially known joined her mother Queen Mathilde for a three day trip. They visited a refugee camp and met the Maasai people.

Seventeen month Prince Louis of Cambridge also is yet to follow the jet setting ways of his older siblings who had both undertaken a trip abroad at this age.

Other royal children like Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia of Spain, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar of Sweden as well as Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane of the Netherlands have all not yet undertaken their first official international tours.

Sunday afternoon offered the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, a chance to connect with nature. The royal couple, accompanied by their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis visited the RHS Back to Nature Garden at this year's Chelsea Flower Show in London. The garden is a woodland setting which offers people a chance to connect with nature.

Today, the royal couple welcomed Queen Elizabeth II and showed her around the exhibit, designed by landscape architects Andrée Davies and Adam White and co-designed by the duchess herself.
