Away from Tata drama, Cyrus Mistry and wife Rohiqa celebrate anniversary in the Alps
ETPanache Exclusive: The couple, with their tight circle of friends, were in the Swiss Alps to mark 25 years of togetherness.

The Gstaad Palace and Al Pina, two very exclusive, discreet and cosmopolitan Swiss resorts hosted the couple and their close friends, revealed a source. The occasion for the Alpine break was their silver jubilee wedding anniversary, on January 2.
Mistry has been in the middle of a very public dust-up, with the storied Tata group. Having been unceremoniously sacked as chairman of Tata Sons, he has waged a public battle against Ratan Tata and the Tata Sons board which included detailed correspondence to board members and shareholders that gave his side of the story. Swiss Alps is expected to provide some respite for Mistry, who has been in the public eye since that tumultuous day of October 24, when he was eased from the chairman’s post.
Few are likely to begrudge him this holiday, coming as it does on the occasion of his 25th wedding anniversary. Mistry and his close buddies relaxed and celebrated at exclusive restaurants such as the Restaurant Sonnenhof, the Eagle and the Alpine Hut that oversee the mountains. During their week-long stay, the group entertained themselves with war games and snow ball fights — this time not of the corporate variety, but a friendly game between themselves.
Mistry’s circle included investment banker Neel Shahani and longtime friends Amar Duggal and Karl Motiwala. Also on the guest list were Arvind and Tanya Dubash, Neeraj and Simran Kanwar, Mumbai socialites AD and Sabina Singh, Darius and Anahita Pandole and Sadanand and Supriya Sule. Some of the invitees, however, were unable to make it to the celebrations.
