Awarapan 2 is expected to make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video, as per Digit.in. The platform has reportedly been indicated as the film's streaming partner, including through its opening credits.There is still no confirmed premiere date from the makers or Amazon Prime Video. Going by the usual 45-to-60-day theatrical-to-digital window followed by many Hindi films, the sequel could arrive online around late September or early October 2026.
Some reports have narrowed the possible window to September 25 to October 9. This, however, is only an estimate and should not be treated as the final OTT release date until an official announcement is made.

What is Awarapan 2 about?
The sequel brings back Shivam Pandit, played by Emraan Hashmi, but his life has changed since the events of the first film. He now lives more like a wanderer while looking after his adopted daughter, Aaliyah.His life takes a dangerous turn when Aaliyah is kidnapped along with other children. Shivam's search takes him to Bangkok, where he goes undercover and gets involved with a child trafficking network led by drug lord Zorawar.
During the mission, Shivam also comes across Zara, played by Disha Patani, who is Zorawar's sister. The story then follows his attempt to rescue Aaliyah and the other children while dealing with the criminal world he had once left behind.

Alongside Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani, the film features Shabana Azmi and Puran Gabbi in important roles. Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Aniruddh Rawal, Atul Kumar, Rukhsar Rehman, Jukgrid Kamdee, Barun Chanda and Richa Jain are also part of the cast.Nitin Kakkar has directed the sequel, while Bilal Siddiqui and Sanjay Masoom have worked on the screenplay and writing. Vishnu Rao is the cinematographer and Devendra Murdeshwar has handled the editing. The music includes work from Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Jeet Gannguli, Akhil Sachdeva and Wasif Ahmad.
Awarapan 2 box office performance
The sequel has also made a strong start at the box office. It reportedly opened with Rs 22 crore on August 14, followed by Rs 33.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 26 crore on Sunday. After the weekend, it collected Rs 9.25 crore on Monday and Rs 9.75 crore on Tuesday.According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film's four-day India net stood at Rs 94.37 crore. The movie is now looking to cross the Rs 100 crore mark, which would make it Emraan Hashmi's first solo Rs 100 crore grosser.
The original Awarapan, released in 2007, did not make a major impact at the box office initially but developed a strong following over the years, particularly for its music and emotional story.
