Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Emraan Hashmi film doubles money in just six days as the movie becomes the actor's biggest solo hit

Emraan Hashmi’s Awarapan 2 is making a strong impact at the box office, and its latest milestone has added another reason to celebrate. Released on August 14, the action thriller has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India within six days, more than doubling its reported Rs 45 crore budget. The success also gives Hashmi one of his biggest career milestones, with Awarapan 2 emerging as his biggest solo hit based on India net collections.

Awarapan 2 crosses Rs 100 cr in India

Awarapan 2, which released in theatres on August 14, has remained steady even after the weekend rush. According to Sacnilk, the film has collected Rs 100.87 crore net in India so far, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 120.47 crore. The film is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 45 crore, meaning its India net collection has already crossed more than twice its reported budget. Based on the reported figures, the film's net collection is around 2.24 times its production budget.

Awarapan 2 box office collection day-wise

The film opened with a strong Rs 22 crore on Friday, according to Sacnilk. Its collections jumped by around 55% on Saturday, when Awarapan 2 earned Rs 33.75 crore. The boost came during the Independence Day holiday weekend and was accompanied by an increase in the number of shows. The film had 9,033 shows on Friday, which rose to 10,496 on Saturday.


On Sunday, the sequel collected another Rs 26 crore. As expected, Monday brought a considerable drop after the extended holiday weekend. However, the film remained steady and added Rs 9.25 crore to its total. The momentum continued on Tuesday, with Day 5 bringing in Rs 9.75 crore.

Day 6 keeps the film in the spotlight

As of Day 6, Awarapan 2 is running across 1,426 shows and has recorded a net collection of Rs 0.12 crore for the day so far, according to the figures provided by Sacnilk. With its India net already above Rs 100 crore and its gross collection at Rs 120.47 crore, the film has crossed a significant box office milestone within its first week. The final India collection for Day 6 is yet to be reported, so the number could rise further.
