Avengers Endgame Encore re-released in India: Four new post-credit scenes explained as netizens call it a 'phenomenal experience'

The much-awaited re-release of the year, Avengers: Endgame Encore, hit the theatres today (September 25). The film returned to theatres after seven years, ahead of Avengers: Doomsday, which is slated to release on December 18 this year. Now, netizens went for first-day-first-show, and the social media verdict is out. The main standout of the movie is the four post-credit scenes in the re-release.

The latest Encore version of Avengers: Endgame comes with several minutes of additional footage. Calling this movie a 'phenomenal experience', one of the users took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Avengers Endgame Encore. Yes the 4 end credit scenes were amazing and have me hyped for doomsday If you need a refresh of endgame yes go watch it if not then no save your money. But the new scenes are great at the END"

According to Hindustan Times, the added scenes was filmed by Joe and Anthony Russo while working on Avengers: Doomsday and it features familiar MCU characters, including Loki, Bruce Banner, Doctor Doom and the TVA.



With the re-release now in theatres, fans have also taken to social media to share their reactions. While some viewers have praised the experience of watching Endgame again on the big screen, others have debated whether the additional footage changes the impact of the original ending.

New post-credit scenes of Avengers Endgame Encore explained (spoilers ahead)

One of the biggest additions comes immediately after the original ending of the movie. In the 2019 film, Stever Rogers returns to the past after returning the Infinity Stones and chose to spend his life with Peggy Carter. Their final dance became one of the most emotional moments of Endgame.

In Avengers Endgame Encore, however, that moment continues. As the duo dance, there is a knock at their door. Peggy answers it and finds Loki, essayed by Tom Hiddleston, standing outside in his TVA uniform.



According to Movieweb report, Peggy asks Loki how she can help him and he said that he can help both her and Steve. Steve then emerges and comes face-to-face with Loki before the scene cuts away.

The scene immediately raises questions about Steve's life with Peggy and the TVA's role in his timeline. However, why Loki has exactly arrived remains unclear.

Doctor Doom comes for Bruce Banner

Another major scene includes Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo and its takes place after the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, where Bruce's Hulk transformation reportedly leaves him worried about losing control again.

Bruce is shown inside a highly secure facility located deep underground. He records a video diary while working on a way to suppress his gamma radiation and prevent another Hulk incident. His isolation does not last long. The lights begin to flicker and the systems around him malfunction. Doctor Doom then makes his presence known.

According to Hindustan Times, Doom tells Banner that he has come to collect him. Bruce transforms into the Hulk, after which the confrontation cuts away. A glowing green symbol is left behind.

TVA discovers the multiverse is collapsing

The last piece returns audience to the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a key character in the Loki series. While keeping an eye on the multiverse, Mobius, O.B., and Casey find something far more major than a single timeline issue. Multiple universes approaching collisions are detected by the TVA.



Earth-10005, which is connected to the Fox X-Men reality, is one of the worlds found. Reports of identical incursions occurring in thousands of universes indicate that the issue is gradually becoming worse. Show Doctor Doom constructing his mask now. Without verifying that Tony Stark and Victor von Doom, both portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., are the same person or variations of one another, the scene purposefully draws comparisons between them.

O.B. eventually delivers the alarming conclusion: the multiverse is collapsing.

The sequence provides a clearer idea of the scale of the threat that could drive Avengers: Doomsday. The upcoming film is expected to bring together characters from different corners of the Marvel universe, including characters connected to the X-Men and Fantastic Four.
