Avengers: Doomsday Indian release date out: Stars Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans wish fans Happy Diwali. When can you watch superhero flick in theatres?

Great news for Avengers fans! Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans have announced that Avengers: Doomsday will release a day earlier in India on 17 December. The superhero film will release in not just English but also Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. In a video shared by Marvel India’s X page, the two superstars began the video with a special message for their fans. They wished their desi fans a happy Diwali and said they would be seeing them in Avengers: Doomsday.

“What we love about Diwali is it marks the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another…that’s something we know a lot about, except instead of moving from dark to light, I think it might be going in the other direction… Happy Diwali, and we will see you in Avengers: Doomsday …You bet!" they said.



Evans was looking dapper in a deep brown shirt, while Robert wowed in a deep green outfit.

About Avengers Doomsday

One of the most anticipated films of this year, the superhero magnum opus is the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Avengers: Endgame. Based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers, the movie The Avengers, the Wakandans, the New Avengers, the Fantastic Four from Earth-828, and the X-Men come from various universes to combat Dr Doom and stop him from taking over the world. The movie takes place 14 months after the events of Thunderbolts, and the superheroes are facing a catastrophic collapse of the multiverse.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, the film is written by Michael Waldron, Stephen McFeely, and the writing duo Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It features a stellar cast led by Robert Downey Jr as the antagonist Doctor Doom. The lineup also includes Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, an aerial combatant who was trained by the militant and uses a specially designed wing pack, and Florence Pugh makes an appearance as Yelena Belova, also known as Black Widow.

The movie arrives at the big screens on December 18.
