According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, Avatar: Fire and Ash crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in India within just two days of its release. The film opened with collections of around Rs 23.25 crore on Day 1, as reported by Sacnilk. On Day 2, Fire and Ash reportedly saw a jump of about 15 per cent, collecting an estimated Rs 22.35 crore net. The growth suggests that word of mouth and weekend footfalls helped the film gain some momentum.
A closer look at the language-wise breakup shows that the English version continues to be the film’s biggest strength in India. On Day 2, English screenings contributed approximately Rs 10.50 crore net. The Hindi version followed with around Rs 6.25 crore, indicating decent interest from the North Indian markets. The dubbed versions also added to the total, with the Tamil version earning close to Rs 3 crore net and the Telugu version bringing in around Rs 2.50 crore.
In terms of gross figures, Avatar: Fire and Ash earned an estimated Rs 26.57 crore on its second day. English shows accounted for about Rs 12.60 crore of this amount, while the Hindi version contributed roughly Rs 7.50 crore.
