At House of Lords, Manasi Kirloskar impresses with Indo-UK trade talk
The House of Lords received a special guest last month, when a young business leader from India, Manasi Kirloskar, gave a special address on the 'Indo-UK Trade Relations'.

Kirloskar was invited as a guest and speaker at the 17th annual London Global Convention of IOD (Institute of Directors, India) on October 27.

The convention saw policy makers, leading business houses and government authorities from across the globe gather on a single platform and address the audience.

Kirloskar impressed the dignitaries with her speech, which she concluded powerfully saying, "I would like to submit that whilst the strong intent of both the governments will definitely be a deciding factor for the future of economic relations between our nations, it will be the sincerity of intent and the strength of the people to people relations that will shape the determination of the governments."

Manasi is also one tough task master. She recalls one incident: "The calm to think rationally helped me during a crisis situation of our hospital project. We were three months away from completion, when the medical equipment at the Operating Theatre (OT) got wet due to heavy rain. I called a meeting of the key managers, used my contacts to simultaneously reach technical staff within 12 hours to the site. A breakdown that would typically have caused a project delay of 45 days got reduced to 15 days."
