At Edelweiss MF branch office opening in Delhi, Radhika Gupta gets nostalgic about '3-cubicle office in old building'

Edelweiss Mutual Fund CEO & MD Radhika Gupta, recently got nostalgic as she recalled the arduous but rewarding journey of developing the Mutual Funds service of the investment and financial services giant from scratch.

Taking to LinkedIn, Gupta reminisced how in the early days, the team at Edelweiss MF operated in a diminutive office space that consisted of three cubicles in Delhi.

However, as their portfolio and AUM (assets under management) expanded, the team could finally shift into a more sophisticated office with all the state-of-the-art amenities.


“Building from scratch has meant frugality. Our Delhi office in 2017 was a small three-cubicle space in an old building, so small that you turned and bumped into your neighbour.

Cut to 2023… 20x of the AUM and more importantly a profitable business … it now means that we can invest in a better space for our people and partners.

Delighted to open our largest branch office, in my home city of Delhi. A space that makes us proud and is also in one of the most happening street food lanes of the city :) Most happy to see the pride on the faces of our distributors who joined us… they have grown with us, and know how we have worked to earn this new space. The entrepreneur signed off that she somehow managed to wear a saree that perfectly reflected the brand colours of the finance giant.

In the picture, Gupta appeared radiant in a bright yellow and dark blue saree. She was surrounded by her team at a swanky office.

The post went viral on the job-posting platform, gaining more than 2,000 likes. Many of her followers took to the comment section to congratulate the inspiring development.

Prior to being appointed as CEO and MD of Edelweiss MF, she was the business head of Edelweiss Multi Strategy Funds and was responsible for framing investment strategies as well as sales and distribution.

Gupta was recently chosen as one of the new ‘Sharks’ or judges at the popular Indian reality TV show ‘Shark Tank India: Season 3’.
