At 50, model & actor Milind Soman turns Ironman

Model, actor and international level athlete Milind Soman, who is revered for his lead role in series 'Captain Vyom', has successfully completed the ‘ Ironman Triathlon’ at the age of 50. The competition is considered as one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world.

Milind, who is a national level swimmer for India, has been preparing for this competition from last few months. He has been keeping his fans updated about the same on social media by posting the pictures of his training sessions.

Ironman Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) consisting of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile (42.2 km) run, raced in that order and without a break. Milind completed the race in 15 hours and 19 minutes. A very few Indians have achieved this feat.







Milind's TV Career:

Milind has acted in a large number of TV serials including ‘A Mouthful of Sky’, ‘Sea Hawks’ and ‘Captain Vyom’. In 2010, Milind participated as a contestant in the popular reality TV show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’ (Season 3). He came in fourth position.
