At 4, she became the youngest person to publish a bilingual book on human emotions. Now, she holds 2 world records. This Bubaneswar girl is making it safe for children to express their feelings
Anvi Vishesh Agrawal, a 6-year-old from Bhubaneswar, holds two Guinness World Records. She is the youngest female to publish a bilingual book and a TEDx speaker. Her book, Little Girl, Big Emotions, explores feelings and has sold over 1,167 copies...

Why the 4-year-old wrote a book on emotions
Within the 1st week of publication, Anvi’s maiden book sold over 1,167 copies, as per GWR. She even got to host her own book signing events in several popular Indian bookstores. In a conversation with GWR, the youngster admitted that her emotions were ‘bigger’ than her and sometimes felt like a ‘volcano’ ready to erupt. This thought led Anvi to the realisation that ‘emotions are okay. We just need to talk about them.’ And the book, she claimed, is dedicated to kids her age who feel the same. ‘I made the book so other kids don’t feel like aliens around their feelings, and instead, validate and express them in a calm way,’ she noted.
Anvi’s paintings and message
About a year after attaining the record, Anvi achieved another milestone — a world record as the youngest TEDx speaker (female). Equally proficient in drawings, she shared how her paintings are influenced by imagination, adding that these artistic hobbies allow her to process and navigate her own emotions. So she let her creativity do all the talking. In 2021, Anvi launched Anvi Happiness Foundation to promote a sustainable lifestyle and eco-friendly ways of celebrating festivals. Her artworks are even displayed at Dubai World Art. When she was asked what it’s like to achieve 2 GWR titles, Anvi had the most adorable answer. She said, ‘It feels like eating 2 ice creams at once - amazing and sweet’.
