Dr Somdutta Singh said she gets a lot of work done on her phone because she has to travel extensively.
Dr Somdutta Singh, founder and CEO of Assiduus Global, isn't overly attached to her iPhone 12 Pro, but does keep it close.

Screen time
“Since I was not able to travel in the initial months of 2020, most of my meetings and engagements, that are otherwise were conducted face-to-face, were happening virtually. I did clock in more screen time. Tech has so much power to spew astounding innovative and efficient tools and resources, placing valuable information right at the tips of our fingers.”

Must-have gadgets
“My Apple laptop and phone are the most crucial gadgets for me. I am currently using an iPhone 12 Pro. Its display is fantastic, it's tougher, sturdy and very fast. I am able to get a lot of work done on my phone, especially since I am travelling extensively. But, I am not overly attached with my phone. Although, I do keep it close to me, there are two hours in the morning when I switch it off, come what may – when I exercise and meditate.”

Current obsession
“As a health enthusiast and a person who is significantly conscious about my fitness as well as staying stylish, I am waiting to get my hands on the Rolex digital watch.”

App drawer
“I use Signal and Telegram because I want to get out of using WhatsApp. I also use Camcard to manage the business cards I receive, Keynote, the Botim app to handle and manage my calls because I travel to, and live in the UAE a lot. I also use the Calm app for sleep and meditation and a few apps that simulate my brain to think and act better. I also use the InShot app for my photos and videos, Babbel to help me master a new foreign language (I am currently learning Spanish), the Forbes Business Council app because I am a member of the coveted platform, CamScanner to scan important documents on the go and of course Google Authenticator to keep my phone and data protected.”

Wearable tech
“I currently own the Apple Smartwatch Series 6. It delivers smartphone notifications on the go, tracks my activities as I am constantly on the move and is very sleek. Using the watch is just seamless. Strap it onto your wrist and you are good to go.”

Lockdown upgrades
“I have just enhanced the speed of my internet because my daughter also has online classes and I don’t want to corner them with my workload. I am not so heavily reliant on my mobile phone to help me relax and organize 24X7. I am generally a very sorted and calm person. My pre-teen daughter is very methodical and logical. She knows how to perfectly take care of herself, allowing me to work contentedly. When I am on important office or client calls, I use the AirPods from Apple that are very efficient in cancelling noise.”

Recommendations…
“Netflix, Amazon Prime, a smart watch to keep track of activities, wireless earbuds, high speed internet router, a tablet to sketch on or write your thoughts down and finally a virtual assistant AI tech such as Alexa, Google Home or Echo.”
