As Naga Chaitanya deletes last photo with ex-wife Samantha, 'Yasoda' star opens up on marrying again

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is in no hurry to say “I do” again. At a press conference for her upcoming web series ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, the actress finally addressed the subject and said that she was currently too happy being single to consider marriage again. For the unversed, the actress was earlier married to her ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ co-star Naga Chaitanya. The two called it quits in 2021, after four years of marriage.

Speaking to the media, the ‘Yasoda’ star said, “I loved and got married out of love, but now we're separated. That's why I don't think about a second marriage in life," Samantha stated. Emphasizing her current state of mind, she added, "I don't need another person. I'm happy now.”

‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’ has been directed by the filmmaker-producer duo Raj & DK. It is a spinoff of the American spy action TV series ‘Citadel’ which featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden. The Hindi spinoff also stars Bollywood star Varun Dhawan and veteran actor KK Menon.


The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 7.

Naga Chaitanya Deletes Last Picture With Samantha

Attentive fans observed that Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya recently deleted the last remaining photo of his ex-wife and Ye Maaya Chesave co-star, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, from his Instagram. Following his engagement to actress Sobhita Dhulipala, the Majili actor had previously removed all photos with Samantha, except this 2018 snapshot.

Now, the only image featuring his former spouse on his profile is the Majili movie poster. For those unfamiliar, after Chaitanya’s engagement announcement, some fans expressed disappointment, questioning why he had left one post with Samantha when he had deleted all other shared moments.

Chaitanya and Samantha started dating in 2015 and tied the knot in 2017. After four years of marriage, they mutually decided to part ways in 2021, citing personal reasons. Soon after, rumors surfaced about Naga Chaitanya’s romance with Sobhita Dhulipala. The couple later confirmed their engagement on August 8 this year.
