Have you ever felt like giving up just as you were on the verge of mastering something new? We’ve all faced those lonely moments of frustration where our efforts feel completely futile, and self-doubt starts to creep in. But sometimes, the universe sends a gentle reminder from the most unexpected place, proving that it is never too late to learn, grow, or try again. Back in April, digital creator Shanaya Sadh shared one such heartwarming video on Instagram that spread smiles across social media, capturing how a fleeting interaction with a stranger can completely alter your perspective on life's struggles.

Woman struggling with tennis gets sweet help

The clip opened to Shanaya Sadh practicing tennis by herself at a court and recording it on her phone. She flung the ball towards a wall and tried to hit it, but failed in her first 2 attempts. At the same time, an elderly gentleman appeared in the video, casually walking behind her, watching Shanaya struggle to get the hang of the sport.

That’s when the elderly man, a stranger, decided to approach the woman. In the text layout, Shanaya admitted that although she is typically wary of strangers, this man, whom she addressed as ‘sir’, turned out to be a legend - both at tennis and wisdom, which was later revealed to social media users.

Elderly stranger shares tennis lessons

The man advised Shanaya to keep her swing above the wall. He even politely asked her whether she wanted to hand over the tennis racket and ball to him so that he could demonstrate the technique himself. Shanaya agreed to the request and that’s when the old man spotted the camera recording. He playfully noted on appearing in the footage, requesting Shanaya to send the video to him over WhatsApp.

The elderly man showcased remarkable balance, precision and control as he effortlessly swung the racket, hitting the ball every single time without missing the target even for once. He taught Shanaya how to position her shots, maintain the right swing, and hit the ball more effectively against the wall, patiently guiding her through the basics of the practice drill. Adding to the the impressiveness of the feat was the fact that he was left-handed.

Social media reacts

The video concluded on a powerful and emotional note with the old man sharing a golden piece of advice to the young woman. He said, ‘Last breathing tak, seekhne ki koi umar nahi hoti’ which translates to learning has no age limit; it continues until your last breath. The video moved people online. One user lauded the beauty of how two different generations were bonding together. Another pointed out that it’s natural for sportsmen to help budding or novice players. ‘This is so precious’ gushed one person. The video has clocked over 2.4 million views.
