Artwork of F N Souza and Rabindranath Tagore are up for grabs at auction

Artist F N Souza’s works have been in the news, especially with last year’s record sale of his painting ‘Birth’ that sold for Rs 27 crore. That particular painting got buzz when it changed famous hands – as old owner Tina Ambani parted with it and the new one, Kiran Nadar bid for it.

Now, more Souzas are up for grabs at an upcoming online auc t ion, organized by AstaGuru. com. One of them is ‘Crucifixion’ mix media, estimated at Rs 1.2 crore. The auction will have around 60 lots for bidding, of masters like SH Raza, MF Husain, VS Gaitonde, Amrita Shergill and Akbar Padamsee. Another interesting bid could be for a unique Rabindranath Tagore, also estimated at Rs 1 crore. Keep your eyes peeled
