Artist Ravinder Reddy's take on Anish Kapoor's controversial sculpture 'Dirty Corner'
In conversation with celebrated artist, Ravinder Reddy:

What is your take on Anish Kapoor’s controversial sculpture ‘Dirty Corner’ that was displayed at Versailles Palace last year?

I think Anish Kapoor’s sculpture was excellent and also very beautiful. Some of the debates were for the sake of it. If you try to read meanings that are not there, then people can create problems for any small thing. As it is, the British and the French are at loggerheads. There are various groups and media that has some role to play in how people perceive art.

However, even before people look at the artwork, the media put out reactions and give an impression of how to look at it. Many people get influenced by that rather than approaching it neutrally. All these camouflage the actual work of art.
