Arjun Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor to play a married couple in R Balki's next

R Balki's as-yet-untitled film rolls on July 1 in Mumbai with a start-to-finish 30-day schedule. The light-hearted love story features Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor playing a married couple. And Amitabh as a father figure in a special appearance.

Says a source close to the development, "The role was discussed with Mr Bachchan on the sets of Shamitabh itself. Every film Balki has made features Mr Bachchan and that's not going to change in the future."

The source adds that Big B, who co-produced Shamitabh, did not take a single rupee out of the pie and this time too he's acting for free.

The film is a modestly budgeted "quickie". And Balki has ordered the unit to not spend on unwanted extras, props or locations. To top it all, he will not be filming for more than a month.

When contacted Balki said, "I'm still writing the film."
