The recently-launched Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) will provide the power of digital to small retailers and go a long way in making them Atmanirbhar, believes Area Online, a company dedicated to supporting small sellers.

“E-commerce is growing rapidly in the country and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 25-30 per cent to touch $140 billion by 2026,” said Yatin Shah, MD of HKG Limited, which runs Area Online.

“A platform like ONDC will ensure small retailers also benefit from the e-commerce boom. ONDC will play a big role in helping India become a $5-trillion economy. We fully support the government’s vision to empower retailers in their fight against MNCs.”

Area Online, with its motto ‘Save Retailer, Save Economy’, is working to digitise the retail industry by enabling retailers and service providers to use its app and move from physical to phygital to cater to customers.
