Director Kabir Khan's upcoming film ''83' has been making headlines since the its inception. The film that traces India's historic 1983 cricket World Cup history stars Ranveer Singh in the pivotal role as Kapil Dev, and his wife, actress Deepika Padukone, will be playing the role of Dev's wife Romi. The ''83' team, which is currently in London to shoot certain parts of the film, is now waiting for the ongoing World Cup to conclude. Reports suggest that the makers are planning to shoot the climax match at Lord's itself.
The climax scenes, which will reportedly be filmed in July-end, will also star Padukone to showcase the emotions of Dev's wife during the match.
Team ''83' also includes Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi and Sahil Khattar. The film is touted to be the 'biggest sports film' of India and is slated to release on April 10, 2020 and will be the first trilingual for Singh and director Khan.
