Ajith Kumar’s Travel Plans Disrupted
Ajith, who has been spending significant time in Dubai due to his motorsport commitments, was reportedly scheduled to travel out of the city. However, his plans were affected due to sudden airspace restrictions in the region.Speaking to Zoom, his manager Suresh Chandraa shared a clear update. “He (Ajith) was supposed to leave yesterday, but had to return from the airport. He is now safe in Dubai.”
In a separate interaction with News18, Suresh Chandraa again confirmed that the actor is safe and there is no reason for fans to panic. His statement quickly spread across social media, bringing relief to fan groups that had been seeking confirmation for hours.
The travel disruption comes amid escalations involving Israel, the US and Iran, which led to reported airspace closures over parts of Iran and Iraq. Several international routes were impacted as airlines cancelled or diverted flights.
Scenes at Dubai Airport
Videos circulating online showed heavy rush at Dubai International Airport, with passengers waiting for clarity on departures. Carriers including Air India and IndiGo stated they are monitoring the situation and will resume normal operations once it is safe.The uncertainty also left some other Indian celebrities stranded. Actor Sonal Chauhan took to Instagram Stories and appealed to Narendra Modi for assistance and guidance to return to India safely.
Madhavan Responds From the US
While Ajith was confirmed to be in Dubai, speculation also surrounded R. Madhavan, who owns property in the UAE. According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the actor clarified that he is currently in the United States with his family and is completely safe. He reportedly thanked fans for their concern and indicated that they will remain there until the situation stabilises.His response helped calm rumours that had been circulating without verification.
Meanwhile, actress Sonal Chauhan revealed that she was left stuck in Dubai following multiple flight cancellations and reached out to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media, seeking assistance. At the same time, Indian badminton star PV Sindhu, along with members of the Indian basketball squad in Doha, were reportedly dealing with travel hold-ups caused by operational disruptions.
