As fans wait for Apple's launch event, the Internet has been buzzing with reports and speculations surrounding the upcoming features and tech updates by the tech giant. According to reports, Apple is finally bringing back the much-demanded feature, the battery percentage icon.
Apple recently seeded the 5th beta of iOS 16 to developers for testing. Among the new features, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone X and iPhone XS will now have the battery percentage displayed on the status bar.

The upcoming feature by Apple which shows the percentage of your battery on the status icon can be activated from the Battery section in the Settings app.
- Open the Settings option on your iPhone
- Then go to the 'Battery' section
- On the Battery settings page, tap on the button next to it. If it turns green, that means you have successfully switched on the Battery Percentage visibility on your smartphone.
