Apple likely to introduce body temperature monitoring feature in Watch Series 8
The tech giant had initially planned to include the feature on Apple Watch Series 7.

When it comes to innovations, the Cupertino-based tech giant, Apple, is the biggest disruptor in the field of smartwatches. Bespoke designs coupled with a user-intuitive interface and applications make it one of the most sought after watches among consumers.
Apple has been working towards bringing a body temperature monitoring feature to Apple Watch 7, however, owing to algorithm problems it was shelved. However, now it seems that the iPhone-maker may bring the feature to Apple Watch Series 8.

The main problem cited reportedly is that skin temperature differs based on the environment. And, smartphones cannot monitor core body temperature using hardware, the feature will be highly dependent on an algorithm to produce accurate results. The analyst went on to say that South Korean smartphone giant Samsung to seems to be witnessing a similar kind of constraint.
