Apple iPhone 12 Pro review: Looks great from all angles
The biggest competition for this device comes from other iPhones in the new 12 series.

HIGHLIGHT: Fast performance
There is a problem of plenty if you are looking for a phone in the all-new iPhone 12 series. Four iPhones, three sizes and a substantial price gap make it really difficult to choose or even recommend which is the best one. The iPhone 12 Pro, however, makes a really strong case for being the right one for the we-want-the-latest-iPhone-at-all-cost brigade. The 6.1-inch display is beautiful to look at and the angular slab-like design makes it easier to hold.
A mixture of gloss and matte encompasses the Pro. It looks great from all angles. Apple refuses to budge from the 60Hz refresh rate in the display, yet that is not a problem. iOS 14 makes it smooth to scroll and it has a really bright display. Viewing angles are perfect and colour reproduction remains as accurate as ever. Apple really knows its design and display. The iPhone 12 Pro is a testament to that.
The one thing common to all iPhones of 2020 is the A14 Bionic processor. The Pro delivers smooth performance in every aspect. Multitasking, heavy-duty apps, gaming — you name it and the iPhone 12 Pro aces on every count.
The triple-lens setup delivers some really impressive shots. Night photos are considerably better in this one than on the iPhone 12. The LiDar scanner in the Pro series makes a big difference. Overall, it is hard to click a bad picture with the iPhone 12 Pro as it consistently clicks images that produce a lot of clarity, details and accurate colours.
At Rs 1.19 lakh, it is a really expensive phone and strictly for those who just can’t live without the newest iPhone. For others looking for an Apple device that doesn’t really burn a hole in the pockets, there’s always the iPhone 12.
