Apple event 2021: Mini-LED iPad Pro, AirTags may drop at 'Spring Loaded'. Here's what to expect & where to watch it

One of the major products that the tech giant is expected to unveil is the new iPad Pro which is speculated to have a mini-LED display.
Apple will be hosting its 'Spring Loaded' event today where the tech company is expected to launch some of the most awaited hardware products. Keeping in mind the ongoing outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, the event will be held virtually.

According to speculations, Apple is expected to unveil the new Mini-LED iPad Pro, AirTags and redesigned iMac. The firm is also expected to launch AirPods 3. While there are several reports on what to expect at the launch event, Apple so far has kept its silence and hasn't disclosed any information on the products that it will be unveiling at the event.

The hype
One of the major products that the tech giant is expected to unveil is the new iPad Pro which is speculated to have a mini-LED display. It is also rumoured that the device may come with 5G mmWave support and in multiple display sizes as well.


Another major hardware that people are looking forward to is the much anticipated AirTag, which may flaunt a waterproof built and support magnetic charging. Coming to its design, it may look like a coin-sized tracking device that one can stick on stuff you don't wish to lose.

The launch event today is also likely to drop the new AirPods (AirPods 3). According to reports, it will most likely resemble the AirPods Pro design and have an upgraded noise cancellation system.

The tech company is also expected to launch its 2021 iMac which is rumoured to flaunt a new design and come in various colour choices. Besides this, several reports also predict the launch of a new Apple Pencil, a stylus for freehand art and writing with certain iPad models.

The event will be livestreamed from Cupertino, California on the Apple website and social media platforms. The event will also be live telecasted on Apple's official YouTube channel in India at 10.30 pm on April 20.

Intel-owned Mobileye announced updates for use in autonomous vehicles. The company said that by 2025, it wants to move towards using its radar-based technology and single lidar sensor per vehicle in a bid to lower autonomous driving expenses. It plans to tap sensors from Luminar Technologies Inc for a planned fleet of so-called robotaxis, which are commercial vehicles meant to carry passengers.
