Ishita Shukla, the daughter of Bhojpuri superstar Ravi Kishan, has decided that the army, not the silver screen is her calling. The 21-year-old is ready to join the Indian Defense under the Agneepath scheme. She is currently a cadet of the ‘ 7 Girl Battalion’ of the Delhi Directorate.

Many netizens have hailed Shukla for this milestone. Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher too joined her fan club. ‘The Kashmir Files’ star took to Twitter, shared a picture of Shukla posing with her father, and lauded her for her decision to join the army. He also added that this step would inspire many more girls to choose military service as a career.

Give my love and blessings to Ishita. And tell her that this step will become an example of inspiration for millions of girls! Jai Hind!" reads the Tweet when translated from Hindi.

The tweet went viral on the microblogging website, accumulating 242K views and 10.9K likes. One Twitter user wrote, “Too much inspirational story. Proud of you @ravikishenji.” Another gushed, “@ravikishann 's daughter is now India’s Daughter. Proud moment for all the Indians and so so inspiring. Proud Father Proud Daughter Proud India Proud us.”

On June 15, the actor-politician tweeted that his daughter will be joining the armed forces via the Agnipath Recruiting scheme. The recruiting scheme was introduced by the government to make the army younger, fitter, and more dynamic. It enables youth to work in the armed forces for four years.

Kishan is married to his childhood sweetheart Preeti. The couple has three daughters Riva, Tanishk, Ishita, and a son named Saksham. Coincidentally, none of his kids have ventured to join the showbiz.
