Another TV show on the cards! Julia Roberts may star in new drama series 'Homecoming'

LOS ANGELES: Actress Julia Roberts is in negotiation to star in upcoming drama series ' Homecoming'.

Based on the fictional podcast of the same name, 'Homecoming' is described as a political thriller centering on a caseworker at a secret government facility. Roberts would play the caseworker's supervisor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The podcast's creators Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg will pen the adaptation.

Sam Esmail is writing and developing 'Homecoming' as part of his overall deal with Universal Cable Productions, where he also has 'Mr Robot' and is working on a miniseries adaptation of the sci-fi classic 'Metropolis'.

This marks Roberts' second TV project. The actress has also signed on to star in and produce HBO series, 'Today Will Be Different'.
