Anirudh Ravichander exits SRK's King

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, composer Anirudh Ravichander has amicably stepped away from the project due to his packed schedule. The report, citing a source, said that Anirudh's busy schedule made it difficult for him to dedicate the time required for a film of this scale.

The source informed, "Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan are determined to bring King to cinemas this Christmas without any delays. However, Anirudh has been juggling multiple commitments down South, making it difficult for him to devote the time and attention that a film of this scale demands."

The report further stated that both of the parties mutually decided to part ways after a discussion and also shared that music composers duo Sachin-Jigar are reportedly on board to compose the music of the film. Anirudh, however, has reportedly composed the theme track for King.

More about King

Days before Shah Rukh Khan's 61st birthday, the actor unveiled a new poster of his much-anticipated film of the year, King. The poster features King Khan in a vengeful avatar, wielding a gun as he strides out of a tunnel engulfed in towering flames. Sporting an unbuttoned dark shirt that exposes his bloodied chest, the actor appears in a gritty look. Along with the poster, it was Shah Rukh's caption that caught the attention of fans on social media."Aaj phir yaad aaya...Qaatil nahi… Aashiq hoon…#KING," SRK wrote.

King, which was directed by Siddharth Anand, will hit theaters on December 24, 2026. After working together on Pathaan, which debuted in theaters in 2023, Shah Rukh and Anand are reunited in this movie. King also features Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh. Actors Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor Khan are reportedly anticipated to have important roles in the movie.
