Anil, Tina Ambani visit Rishi Kapoor in New York; actor says 'lovely to see old friends'

Less than a week after RIL Chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita paid a visit to actor Rishi Kapoor who is seeking medical treatment in New York, Jr. Ambani followed suit.

Anil Ambani and wife Tina spent time with the '102 Not Out' actor, who shared a picture with the couple. Kapoor also explained the reason behind his wife, Neetu's absence from the picture.

"How lovely to see my old friends, Tina and Anil. Many congratulations on Anshul’s graduation ????? Thank you both. Neetu missing in picture as she was preparing my dinner," he tweeted.



Going by the 66-year-old actor's tweet, it seems like Anil and Tina Ambani were in the city for their son Anshul's graduation.

The 23-year-old Ambani scion completed his bachelor’s degree in business management from Stern School of Business, New York University in December 2018. He joined Reliance ADAG in January this year. The company issued a statement at the time sharing that Anshul had joined Reliance Infrastructure as a management trainee.

Film-maker Rajkumar Hirani, who directed Ranbir in 'Sanju', also spent some time with the couple in New York.. Thanking Hirani, the actor wrote, "Thank you Raju Hirani for staying with us for so long. Good to meet people from my fraternity and then talk films."


The Kapoor couple has been receiving love and visits by several celebrities ever since they moved to New York for the actor's treatment.

Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Anupam Kher, Priyanka Chopra, Sonali Bendre, and Javed Akhtar are among the B-town celebrities who also paid a visit to the veteran actor.

Rishi and Neetu ae frequently visited by their children Ranbir and Riddhima too.

On the work front, Rishi Kapoor was last appeared in 'Mulk' and 'Rajma Chawal'.
