Anil Agarwal hosts musical evening at Mumbai residence; 'Indian Idols' Pawandeep Rajan & Arunita Kanjilal enthrall audience

The festive celebrations at the Agarwal household kicked off last evening, on the eve of Janmashtami.

On Sunday evening, Anil Agarwal, Executive Chairman of Vedanta Resources Limited, had organised a musical festive evening for his near and dear ones in south Mumbai. The star performers for the evening were 'Indian Idol 12' winner Pawandeep Rajan and first runner-up Arunita Kanjilal.

The mining baron took to Twitter to share that he had an amazing time meeting the "talented Indian Idols". He said that the duo made the festive evening special by sharing their simple and heart-touching stories.


He further urged every young person to pursue their dreams.

Alongside a 39-second-long video with the singers, Agarwal praised their confidence. He also mentioned that the singers performed Pahari and Bengali songs for the audience.

'Fashion' director Madhur Bhandarkar and well-known adman Prasoon Joshi also attended the musical night.

In a follow-up post, Agarwal posted a picture with wife Kiran on Janmashtami.

"Each year, we as a family offer our humble prayers to Lord Krishna, as we celebrate the vanquishing of evil and arrival of harmony. Let us remember his teachings & pray for harmony on this occasion," wrote the businessman.
