Salman Khan removes shirt on Bigg Boss 20 as he takes on trolls over his weight

Salman Khan has often been the target of comments about his age, weight and appearance on social media. The actor has generally stayed away from responding to such remarks, but that changed during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20. While addressing the controversy involving ScoutOP and Arishfa Khan, Salman ended up speaking about the trolling he has faced himself and even removed his shirt on camera.

The moment came as Salman questioned the culture of trolling and the way online comments can quickly turn personal. What started as a discussion about a contestant's behaviour became a direct response to people who have been commenting on the actor's changing appearance.

Salman Khan calls out ScoutOP over trolling

In the episode, Salman addressed ScoutOP over his reaction to the fallout with Arishfa Khan during the captaincy contender task. Arishfa had accused Scout of hitting her, while Scout had threatened to throw her during the argument.

Scout had also spoken to his gaming community and asked them to troll Arishfa after the dispute. He was later questioned by Salman about the reason behind encouraging such behaviour.

Salman asked, "Aap apni gaming community ko shoutout dena chahoge mere baare mein ke agar main kuch galat bol doon, toh mujhe bhi dekh le? Inko aisa lagta hai ke kisi ki maar ke mazaa aata hai inko...what do you want to troll and why do you want to troll?"

The actor then continued the discussion and spoke about the comments he receives online. "What is the mentality? Mere upar bhi hua tha, bhai mota hogaya hai, lo kar lo na troll. Aajao ye sab nikalo."

Salman removes his jacket and shirt in anger

Salman did not stop at talking about the trolling. In the promo, he throws away his jacket and cowboy hat before taking off his shirt, apparently challenging people who have been commenting about his body.

He also questioned the people making such comments and asked them to look at themselves before judging others. "Pehle apne aap ko dekho. Aap log jo comment karte ho na, jo bhi karte ho. Pehle apni shakal dekh lo. Look at your parents' health, your own health."

The contestants inside the house cheered for Salman during the heated exchange. In another promo, Salman spoke about how age and appearance have become regular subjects of discussion around celebrities.

"In every show, this age has become a big thing, ye buddha hogaya hai, ye hogaya woh hogaya hai. What do you want to show? Kisi ke wajan par, kisi ke looks par, kisi ke khaandaan par, kisi ke smile par, kisi ke flop par, kisi ke maa bannane par. Aap apni upbringing dikha rahe ho. Mere upar bhi hua tha, of course 60 saal ka hogaya hoon..."

Bigg Boss 20 continues to see clashes

The confrontation comes at a time when Bigg Boss 20 has already seen several arguments between contestants. The ScoutOP-Arishfa dispute happened during a paint task, with their disagreement becoming one of the talking points from the week.

The season has brought together actors, singers, digital creators and sports personalities. The contestants include Mahhi Vij, Aasif Khan, Aman Gandhi, Amrapali Dubey, Qazi Touqeer, Rhiti Tiwari, Yung DSA, ScoutOP, Arishfa Khan and Mary Kom.

Salman had also made sarcastic comments about the housemates during the previous Weekend Ka Vaar. Speaking to Amrapali Dubey, he joked about the show's contestant selection and said, "Humne socha chaanth chaanth ke contestants laayenge lekin kabhi kabhi humare selection mein Kami padh jaati hai. Aur usmein jab aap bolte ho ki koi kami-naa toh Hume lagta hai ek ya do kamina toh hoga hi ghar mein naa."

Bigg Boss 20 premiered on September 6 with 16 contestants. The show airs on Colors TV and streams on JioHotstar, with Salman Khan continuing as its host.

The new season has also introduced a different nomination format, with contestants getting two lives that can help them avoid elimination. However, those advantages can change during the course of the competition depending on tasks, house decisions and other developments. This has added another layer to the nomination process, as contestants have to protect their lives while also dealing with the usual tasks and rivalries inside the house.

Along with the daily episodes, Weekend Ka Vaar remains an important part of the show as Salman Khan interacts with the contestants and addresses major incidents from the week.
