My style I am fashionable, sophisticated and easy going. I dress up or down depending on my mood.

Colour code I love colours – I probably have every primary colour when it comes to my pants. Bright hues for casual moments to toned down hues for formal ones.

Must-haves A good white shirt, brown oxford shoes (brown is the new black), a Nehru collar shirt, shirts with conversational prints — prints that have a story behind the design make for great conversation starters at parties. Finally, an embroidered shirt —they are rare, you’re sure to stand out.

White lies I get noticed a lot when I’m wearing a brilliant white shirt with jeans, brown oxfords and a brown belt.

Prized possession My watches. I hope that the few I have right now are the start of a well curated (and earned) collection.

Brand speak Hugo Boss – I love the understated, sophisticated, differentiated look that personifies Boss. Yohei Fukuda — it’s a Japanese shoe brand. Canali — their scarves are amongst the best in the world.

Shoe woes I spend a lot on shoes. Shoes are available everywhere. But fantastic shoes, you just can’t get at reasonable prices. The little things Every man should own pocket squares and scarves. I feel we don’t do justice to scarves in India. If you’re the fashionable type: leather wrist bands. They’re in vogue these days and men of all ages (literally 20 – 45) are wearing them.

Style advice Don’t be too brand-conscious. A lot of leading brands don’t do the most interesting product. Whenever I travel to UK and Italy, I see so many interesting things by ‘lesser known’ brands. You’re starting to see this trend emerging in India as well.

Trend speak I’m saddened by fast fashion. Being from the fashion supply chain industry, I see the amount of waste and ecological cost this consumption pattern has had. But it’s changing, to a more sustainable, quality-driven consumption trend.

Never ever Would I be found wearing and rogynous garments. Men and women are different. Our clothes should be as well.
