Mahindra Group’s Chairman, Anand Mahindra often shares his unique observations or insights with his followers on social media. Be it about fitness, innovation, creativity or out-of-the-box thinking, he never fails to acknowledge such content. The recent video that caught his attention is “desktop dosa”. The viral video has left many desis amused and appreciating the invention, while some prefer the traditional approach to this staple South Indian dish.

Often when you visit a shop to eat a plate of dosa, you see a huge and round-shaped tawa, where the person spreads out the batter thinly on it and a few minutes later, they serve you a hot and crispy dosa with accompaniment. But, now imagine, instead of a tawa, the dosa is being made on a machine.

Viral Video

The video depicts a machine on which the batter is being poured. Instead of a ladle, the machine is spreading out the batter thinly on its own. He later adds the potato filling in it and then the machine folds the dosa perfectly. The original caption of the clip read, “22nd Century ki Dosa Printing Machine. Doserani, Tara Bhawan, Lalbagh, opp. Patna College, Patna”. Anand Mahindra later reshared the video and wrote, “The Desktop Dosa.”
