Anand Mahindra shares APJ Abdul Kalam's message to him
President APJ Abdul Kalam's death has led to many sharing memories of their personal encounters with India's missile man and the impression he left on them.

One of the memories comes from Anand Mahindra, chairman and MD, Mahindra Group. This was when Kalam inaugurated the group's research facility Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai.

"As he walked around (the campus), he saw the tall hill at the property boundary. He abruptly stopped & asked me: 'Is that hill part of your property?' I said no and he paused for a long time & said: 'Take it..Take the Hill' I was confused, but he just repeated himself and moved on. When I reflected on it, I believed his words were not literal, but symbolic. Advice to always look higher & beyond your original ideas. And so today our credo at Mahindra Research Valley is, always, to 'Take the Hill.' Thank you good Doctor," Mahindra said on Instagram.
