Anand Mahindra joins Araku Café's 2nd birthday celebrations in Bengaluru, enjoys 'incredible' meal

Billionaire Anand Mahindra had a productive time last week when he met the entire team of Araku Café in Bengaluru.

The Mahindra Group Chairman celebrated the second birthday of the coffee shop that struggled through the pandemic to survive after being launched in 2021.

Sharing a post by Araku Café's owner Aditi Dugar, the 67-year-old said that he enjoyed the "incredible meal and celebration" at the coffee shop.


His tweet read, "I was wondering if we’d all fit in in the frame … What an incredible meal & celebration. Once again, many Happy Returns of the Day, Araku Café, Bengaluru…"


Last week, Dugar, who is the first Indian female restaurateur to feature on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list, took to Twitter to share a wholesome picture with the entire team of trustees and staff.

"We launched in the haze of the on-again-off-again pandemic, in 2021. Finally, it was great to have all the whole team together — even Araku Coffee Paris, the very first flagship launched in the heart of Le Marais back in 2017," she shared in her post.

In another tweet, Dugar said that she was looking forward to creating a green coffee shop.


The event was attended by Mahindra, Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan, Dr Reddy's Laboratories Chairman Kallam Satish Reddy, former badminton player Prakash Padukone along with his wife Ujjala, Soma Enterprise Managing Director Ankineedu Maganti, commentator Charu Sharma along with his wife Anuja, NYC-based architect Jorge Zapata, and Naandi Foundation CEO Manoj Kumar, among others.

Kumar expressed gratitude and shared a string of images from the event.



Besides Araku Café, Dugar is the CEO and owner of Masque restaurant and Sage Saffron in Mumbai. The list of trustees includes Mahindra, Gopalakrishnan, Reddy and Maganti.
