The man whose net worth is about Rs 30,000 crore took to X and wrote, “This is one item on my bucket list that will definitely get done…Mumbai to Goa in 6 hours in a Thar Roxx…The only problem with a shortened highway is that it may not be a long enough journey to justify a remake of the old movie classic….” He also shared the poster of the movie Bombay to Goa.

The four-laning of the 466km Goa Highway in Maharashtra is expected to be finished by May-June 2025, halving travel time. However, delays in work on bypasses, underpasses, and flyovers in towns like Mangaon, Indapur, and Pali have pushed the project cost to Rs 7,300 crore. Meanwhile, the National Highways Authority of India plans to build a 30 km expressway linking Pagote near JNPT to Chauk Junction, connecting key highways with multiple entry and exit points.
