An ultra-luxe yacht, the world’s southern-most continent, a Michelin-star chef: Here's what your journey to Antarctica could look like
Fifty shades of white. Humpback whales. Chinstrap Penguins. A luxury cruise. And the far end of the world. Sounds like a dream? Well, it's not. Rather it's just a part of the journey, The Q Experiences - India's leading travel company- wants to take you on.

The luxury travel curators recently announced their latest adventure - an 11-day trip to the world's most exotic continent, Antarctica. And you're so going to want to be part of the limited 200 people that will sail to The White Continent.

Vasim Shaikh, the man behind this journey and The Q Experiences, recently returned from his visit to Antarctica, and says he couldn't wait to curate an off-beat journey for the new-age Indian traveller.

Growing up in the travel business, his family runs Ruby Tours in Pune, made Shaikh an avid traveller. But he wasn't content with the way Indians were travelling. "Group departures are no way to experience a place", he says. "And 10 years back that was exactly what was happening. I wanted to change that. This is how Q Experiences came into being."

"A visit to a destination should be about getting to know the culture, exploring places, and earning experiences," says Shaikh describing his visit to Antarctica as a 'feeling'.

Vasim Shaikh, the man behind this journey and The Q Experiences, recently returned from his visit to Antarctica and says, "words can't describe the place".

He also knows that there is a growing market for luxury travel in the country, and is ready to tap into that. Citing a report he says, "The Indian luxury travel industry is booming, with 6% growth each year, and this is an upward trend for at least the next decade."

Shaikh has seen the change in the Indian traveller, and he wants to offer something the new-age traveller can't refuse. "Evolved travellers have already been to major destinations", he says "which is why we offer them a chance to do something different." From walking with Polar bears in the Canadian Arctic to now transversing through Antarctica, Shaikh wants to do things differently. And next on the cards, he says, is a trip to the Arctic.

Until then, all your dreams about waking up to a view of the The White Continent are just about to come true.
