An Uber driver wins hearts after a woman gave birth in the cab
The London-based rider took to LinkedIn to find a way to tip the driver more than the £18.50 that the app permitted.

Victoria White, Head of Customer Loyalty & Commercial Performance at Virgin Atlantic, took to LinkedIn to tell her tale of giving birth in the most unexpected manner, and also to thank the driver.
"I gave birth in an Uber on Friday night as the driver was rushing me to hospital. I’m sure it wasn’t the drive he expected when he answered our request," she narrated.
White went on to add that she would've liked to tip him but the app only allowed her to tip him £18.50. Going on further, she said that small amount would barely cover the cost of getting the car cleaned, and asked the professional networking site's users if anyone could help her.
White's social media post seemed to have worked, because the travel industry executive posted an update saying that the Uber management had been in touch with her, and as a way to recognise and thank the driver, they have awarded him £100, in addition to featuring him in their driver recognition campaign.
