An extravagant affair: Parth Jindal ties the knot with Anushree Jasani in Vienna

After a year filled with celebrations, JSW Group chairman Sajjan Jindal's son Parth is a married man. He tied the knot with fiancée Anushree Jasani on Monday in Vienna. A proud Sajjan Jindal posted this to his son on Twitter on D-day: "Finally the day is here! May God bless you both as you take a step forward to begin your new journey together." To which, Parth responded, "Thank you so much papa and ma — you'll have fulfilled my every dream — now it's my turn to do the same."

The three-day wedding celebrations took place at marquee venues in the Austrian capital: Hofburg Palace, Art for Art, Palais Liechtenstein and the Belvedere Gardens. A posse of wedding planners worked behind the scenes to put up, what guests repeatedly dubbed as "a Bollywood-style, grand spectacle".

Earlier, some of the guests arriving in Vienna were greeted with confusion because of baggage problems at the airport but all that was forgotten once the event kicked off.

Visitors were spoilt with goodie hampers in their rooms, which included chocolates, popcorn and even hangover cures.

Parth's uncle Naveen Jindal posted a photo of the groom's baaraat being blocked in jest by his friends and family. "Baaraat is halted by a #ChakkaJaam. Their demand: Don't proceed, just dance," he wrote. Apparently, dance the guests did in the evenings when Enrique Iglesias and Mika kept the party going.

Guests at the festivities included Lakshmi Mittal, Uday Kotak, Natasha Poonawalla, Nita Ambani and Akash Ambani.
