An extravagant affair: Gayatri Reddy ties the knot with Aneesh Bhatia in Hyderabad

Two weeks ago, Delhi-based Aneesh Bhatia tied the knot with Hyderabad-based Gayatri Reddy at a five-day wedding extravaganza in the bride's hometown. The wedding, attended by 500-1,000 guests, saw an impressive turnout of politicians, film stars and corporate czars.

Aneesh's family is a shareholder in AirAsia India and has interests in the real estate sector. Amit, his brother, is married to steel baron Lakshmi Mittal's daughter Vanisha. Mittal and wife Usha attended all the functions with son Aditya and daughter-in-law Megha.

Gayatri is the daughter of T Venkattram Reddy, a media mogul from the south.

The wedding celebrations kicked off with a dinner at a luxury hotel in Hyderabad, where multiple rounds of toasts were raised to the couple. A day later, a mehendi was hosted by the bride's family at her residence. This was followed by the sangeet on February 15.

Amit and Vanisha were emcees for the sangeet . The parents of the groom, Arun and Renu, danced to 'Ek ladki ko dekha toh'. The celebrations ended with the wedding on February 17. Gayatri was dressed in a south Indian silk saree while Aneesh sported a turban, north Indian style.
