Amy Jackson to play a Malayali in Vijay-starrer

Actress Amy Jackson, who played a Malayali in her Hindi debut Ek Deewana Tha, will play a Malayali yet again in her upcoming film with Tamil superstar Vijay.

"In Ek Deewana Tha, she had played a girl from an orthodox Malayali family. This time however, she will be seen as a teacher. She recently joined the sets," shares a source in the know.

Directed by Atlee, the film titled Vijay 59 co-stars Samantha as the other female lead. Vijay recently recorded a song for a romantic number, the music of which has been scored by GV Prakash. Amy has also signed the Rajinikanth-starrer Robot 2.
